Wildfire Prepared Home is a voluntary designation program that provides science-based actions to reduce a home’s wildfire risk.
Homes that meet all requirements and pass a third-party evaluation can earn a Wildfire Prepared Home designation. Check with your insurance agent for any incentives that may apply.

How Do I Get Started?
Start planning for Wildfire Prepared Home Enhanced before you rebuild.
1) Review the Enhanced Requirements
Download the requirements and share them with your architect, designer, builder, contractor, and insurance professional.

2) Build, Landscape, & Complete Designation Requirements
Work with your architect, designer, builder, contractor, and landscape professional to incorporate the required materials, construction details, and property measures from the start.
Note: Plan and build to the Enhanced requirements from the start. The designation is awarded after construction is complete and the home and property have passed the required third-party evaluation.
3) Apply for Designation
Once your home and property meet all requirements, apply for a Wildfire Prepared Home designation.
