Local Incentives & Support by State

Protect Your Property. Get Support.

Homeowners and multifamily property owners in wildfire-prone states may be eligible for grants, incentives, risk assessments, and expert contractor support to help reduce wildfire risk. The Wildfire Prepared Home program provides science-based guidance to help you complete the mitigation actions that strengthen your home, apartment building, or community.

Whether you’re a homeowner, HOA, apartment manager, or multifamily property owner, resources may be available in your state to help you prepare and qualify.

Where the Program Is Available

Wildfires affect communities across the United States, but some states face higher wildfire risk. The Wildfire Prepared Home program is currently available in AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, MT, NV, NM, OK, OR, UT, TX, WA and WY.

Don’t see your state listed? Wildfire mitigation programs continue to expand. Check back regularly as new state and resources are added. Even if your state is not currently eligible for a designation, you can still complete the mitigation actions that reduce wildfire risk and improve peace of mind.
